The Governor of Gilan announced the slogan “Caspian, a Bridge of Friendship and Regional Development” for the first international meeting of governors of the Caspian Sea coastal provinces, saying: This slogan expresses the spirit of cooperation, interaction and synergy among the Caspian coastal countries on the path to sustainable development of the region.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Gilan Governorate, Hadi Haghshenas stated on Saturday, November 1, at the meeting of the Coordination Committee for the International Meeting of Governors of the Caspian Sea Coastal Provinces, which was held in the Ghadir Hall of the Governorate: This meeting, with the presence of trade delegations and officials from the Caspian coastal countries, will be a valuable opportunity to expand economic, trade and infrastructure cooperation between the coastal provinces and the member countries of this area.

Referring to the summit’s slogan, “Caspian, a Bridge of Friendship and Regional Development,” he added: “This title is a symbol of cooperation and convergence among the Caspian Sea countries, which can pave the way for a new chapter in economic, cultural, scientific and environmental relations between the nations of the region.” The governor of Gilan emphasized: “As the northern gateway of the country, Gilan plays an important role in strengthening Caspian Sea interactions, and hosting this international event should be held in the honor of the province and the country.”
He added: “The four executive committees, including ceremonies and reception, accommodation and services, advertising and culture, and exhibition and media, must follow their missions with care and complete coordination so that the hosting is carried out at a desirable level.” Stating that this summit is not only an economic event, but also has a cultural and political message for regional convergence, Haghshenas noted: “Holding specialized meetings, side exhibitions and B2B meetings between economic activists from Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Iran will be among the side programs of this event.” According to this report, the first international meeting of governors of the Caspian Sea coastal provinces will be held on November 17 and 18, hosted by Gilan Province in the city of Rasht.
