The Governor of Gilan met with the Deputy Minister of Legal and International Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to coordinate the holding of the meeting of governors of the Caspian Sea coastal provinces and discussed the details and necessary arrangements for this regional event.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Gilan Governorate; Hadi Haghshenas, the High Representative of the Government in Gilan, met with Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy Minister of Legal and International Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Monday.

The meeting was held with the aim of coordinating and making the necessary decisions for the holding of the meeting of governors of the Caspian Sea coastal provinces hosted by Gilan; a meeting that will be held in this province with the participation of 13 governors from the countries of the region.

In this meeting, the two sides, referring to the importance of the role of the coastal provinces in developing regional cooperation, emphasized the need for constructive interaction within the framework of state-centered diplomacy and examined the areas of joint cooperation to enhance the position of the Islamic Republic of Iran in relations with the countries of the Caspian Sea.
In this meeting, Hadi Haghshenas, the Governor of Gilan, stated that holding such meetings is a valuable opportunity to introduce the province’s capacities at the international level, and added: “Gilan is ready to host this important regional event.”
