According to the Guilan Governor’s Public Relations Office, Hadi Haghshenas met with the Kalmykia Vice President this afternoon and discussed opportunities for collaboration.
During the meeting, Hadi Haghshenas highlighted the government’s focus on strengthening provincial diplomacy and expanding regional cooperation. He emphasized Guilan’s potential in economic, tourism, port, and scientific sectors, which could facilitate joint cooperation with various regions of Russia, including Kalmykia. Haghshenas also mentioned Guilan’s strengths in maritime transportation and its strategic location on the North-South Corridor route, stating that leveraging these assets could enhance bilateral cooperation.
The Vice President of Kalmykia expressed gratitude for Guilan’s hosting of the First Caspian Governors’ Forum and showed readiness to enhance cooperation in economic, cultural, and investment areas. He proposed the exchange of trade and executive delegations between the two regions to further strengthen ties.
