The Governor of Guilan and the Prime Minister of the Russian Republic of Dagestan, in their joint meeting, highlighted the necessity to strengthen economic, commercial, and transportation cooperation, as well as to utilize shared capacities to expand regional interactions.
According to the Guilan Governor’s Office Public Relations, Hadi Haghshenas met and held talks with Abdul-Masum Abdul-Masumov, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Dagestan, this afternoon (Wednesday) on the sidelines of the closing ceremony of The First Caspian Governors’ Forum.

During the meeting, Guilan Governor Hadi Haghshenas expressed gratitude to the Dagestan delegation for their active participation in The First Caspian Governors’ Forum. He emphasized the vast potential for economic, commercial, and tourism cooperation between Guilan and Dagestan. Haghshenas stated, “The need for joint planning to take advantage of existing opportunities to strengthen regional ties between the two provinces of Guilan and Dagestan must be addressed.”
Referring to Guilan’s strategic position in the North-South Corridor, he expressed the province’s readiness to expand joint activities in the following areas: “Guilan has great potential in the areas of ports, maritime transport, the exchange of trade delegations, and the implementation of joint cultural and educational projects, which should be emphasized at this summit.”
